Denton & Dallas/Fort Worth Boudoir Portrait Photography – Little Red Book by Robin Gansle Photography bio picture
  • Welcome to Little Red Book!

"Boudoir", strictly translated, means "bedroom". If your bedroom is anything like mine...unmade bed, dusty exercise equipment, hateful alarm clock...it's anything but sexy. At the end of the day, who has the energy left to get all dolled up and live out some hot little fantasy?

Enter boudoir photography! Take an hour to half a day to indulge your inner vixen. Big sexy hair (I said "sexy", not "Texas"), flirty eyes, pouty lips, and then we throw on (or take off) some HOT threads. Posing ranges from playful to downright irresistible. Props are simple and keep the focus on YOU.

The pictures? GORGEOUS! Your ego? JACKED! Your partner? THRILLED! Your gift topping abilities? RUINED FOREVER!

My name is Robin Gansle, and I have been a portrait photographer for three years now. I added boudoir photography at the beginning of 2009, because helping other normal non-model women find their own personal sexy, spicing up their relationships and just plain making themselves feel gorgeous again, well it completely makes me happy. Let's put the sexy back into YOUR boudoir!

Denton, Dallas/Fort Worth Boudoir Photography : Hot mama!

“B” and her friend, who I hope you’ll be seeing soon on my blog, drove quite a long way to have a double session at the studio. We worked from 9 am till 2 (some of that was hair/makeup…thank you Sarah!) and had a ball. The dynamic of these sessions is a little different when you have a friend present. There are a lot more smiles than serious faces, and the poses tend to get a bit more vampy as the one-upping gets out of hand, but they are ALWAYS. FUN. Even when the name calling starts.

I love this first one of you, B…it is SO elegant and sexy and timeless. I think it may be my new favorite! If I get brave enough to put a boudoir photo on my wall, this will have to be it!

Denton, Dallas/Fort Worth Boudoir : Ch-ch-ch-changes!

2009 was a WILD year and despite the economy, very good for Little Red Book! I am a sucky blogger and have posted only about half of the sessions, but I’ll try to get more caught up with the hahahah “downtime” that is the next couple of months. What a great first year for the boudoir side of Robin Gansle Photography! Some exciting changes are coming, and if you speak sales lingo you know that also means “prices are gonna go up”. There’s no hiding the fact that Sarah (stylist!) and I have been working our butts off for the past year and at a pretty low profit margin. Time to bring our prices more into line with our local peers, I certainly think our work more than speaks for itself!

I will be figuring out how to make an online portfolio of Sarah’s work so you can see for yourself how awesome she is. Additionally, we will be adding 3 package options instead of the one-size-fits-all approach, including a couple of new product offerings. All of this will *fingerscrossed* be unveiled in the next couple of weeks, at which time the current pricing will end…UNLESS…you’ve already booked a session in that time. That is for the signature LRB session only and does not include parties or upgrades.

If you’ve been looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift, this is it! If you’ve been on the fence for a while about boudoir photography, now is definitely the time to get off the dang fence! Stop waiting for the extra few pounds, and trust my mad photoshop skills.

The deadline for booking a signature Little Red Book session at the price of $550 is January 21, 2010. Woot! And I promise I’ll post some beautiful new ladies in the very near future…

Denton, Dallas/Fort Worth Boudoir : Knockout

That’s why they invented the word…for women like this…I’m pretty sure the boxing affiliation came later. W is tall, blond, stunning, and has some killer taste in lingerie. The only difficult thing about this session was using a studio setup for some of the images, but I’m glad we did.

Oh and the snake.

W’s man bought the upgraded “coffee table book” he liked them so much, which I can’t really impart how awesome these things are. It’s like your own personal hardbound playboy magazine, minus those pesky articles. Talk about hot! Thanks W, you were a dream to work with!!

Denton, Dallas/Fort Worth Boudoir : “The best gift I’ve ever gotten”

“L” was my most nervous client yet. You can always expect to be at least moderately nervous at the beginning of a boudoir session, I certainly would be as well! I think everyone reading my blog and considering a boudoir session should know that IT’S OK! For my first session, even I was having a little liquid encouragement to get through it. But as I hope “L” would attest, it does get better. I don’t ever ask anyone to do anything that would make them uncomfortable. Mentally uncomfortable, that is. I ask people to do things that are physically uncomfortable to do all the time, but that’s photography for you. Needless to say from the images, we got into a very nice groove and got some great, sexy pictures. And can I say how much I love her shiny black hair…just look at those curls!!

From her husband (this was her anniversary gift for him): “The best gift I’ve ever gotten.” “Very Nice!” “Unbelievable!” “I normally don’t like to be surprised but WOW!”

She tells me she got the “model treatment” the next day, too. I hope that doesn’t mean brown rice & vegetables for every meal.

Denton, Dallas/Fort Worth Boudoir : “I can’t believe that’s me…”

As you can probably tell by now, I love to use quotes from the subject or recipient of these sessions. Not just to fluff my ego (though I’m not saying that’s bad…), but because I find it so rewarding to see how genuinely surprised these ladies are to see themselves looking so fantastically hot! My camera and I are a pretty good team, but we’re still just capturing what’s in front of us. It’s all about releasing that inner sexy!

I felt like I was old friends with “J” by the time we even had the session, we had talked so much. And met a couple of times. And talked some more. That certainly helped with her comfort level, along with a little wine;)She was a hoot and had some hilarious ideas as well as some truly rad backup music. In a word: Prince!! And not even the artist formerly known as, it was the real deal baby. It’s definitely sessions like these that make me wonder how I ever lucked into this job.

From “J”:

“I can’t believe that’s me…usually I am so apprehensive about having my photo taken, but you did such a phenomenal job, and I really felt comfortable working with you. It was such a great experience and the photos were absolutely beautiful!!!”
